My Approach

I am a Licensed Psychologist with over 10 years of experience providing quality psychotherapeutic services to people of all ages.  I have most experience working with people who have symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and personality disorders.  I meet people where they are at and help them get to where they want to be.  People do not "do better" unless they "feel better." Often times the first step in healing is learning to have compassion and love for yourself.  This facilitates the desire to care for yourself and gives you the motivation to make the changes you want in your life.

Usually by the end of the first session I am able to give you some insight about what I think is going on for you as well as what I think may help.  We can create attainable goals collaboratively so that you are always working towards what you want and not what I prescribe for you.  I find in my work with people I simultaneously: 1. Help them learn more about themselves and 2. Help them learn coping skills and create habits to function more effectively.

I am trained as an Adlerian, which is a psychodynamic approach.  I believe, "It is not what happens to us but what we decide based on what happens to us."  We can always decide something different!  I would love to be a part of you deciding to live a more fulfilled life.

I am trained in EMDR. Learn more about EMDR here
